An exciting opportunity exists with the leading telecommunication provider in Afghanistan for a Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist..

The individual will be in charge of complex analytical projects, working closely with all senior members of the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain complex business plans with the ability to
conduct simulation and scenario analysis
- Analyze capital expenditure and create methodology for financial
decision making on capital expenditures through use of capital
budgeting techniques ( i.e. Payback, IRR and NPV type calculations)
- Product/Pricing Analysis – Providing financial inputs and analysis on
new product development and pricing
- Responsible for benchmarking costs (operating and capital
expenditures) against regional and overall industry standards.
- Analyze and give inputs in bidding for special corporate sales
- Cost per minute analysis using LRIC and other industry standard
- Key member of budget development team providing historical trend
analysis for budget creation, along with cost validation.
- Provides input to month and quarter end variance analysis for actual
to budget operating and capital expenditures
- Other ad-hoc analytical tasks as required


- The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar position, along
with solid financial and accounting knowledge.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, sound communication
skills, excellent attention to detail and be a self starter
- CA or CFA preferred



Position reports to the Director Marketing Communications and is required to work on he strategy, to manage and organize all related PR/SPR and sponsoring activities, in accordance with the overall marketing communications framework.


This individual will work on strategy, organize and manage PR/RSP activities and sponsorship programs and campaigns. This position is also to direct, evaluate, propose and work with 3rd party agencies, Government Ministries and other related organization in all PR and sponsorship activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The core activities encompass:

- Supporting the Department in all PR/RSP,Sponsoring activities:
o Creating the strategy for all mentioned above areas
o Executing all needed activities
- directing and working closely to follow-up with all relevant agencies
in developing PR/RSP and sponsorship campaigns such as special
events, sponsorships, exhibitions and writing press releases.

Secondary job responsibilities -

- Supervision on advertising activities
- Cooperating with advertising agencies
- Coordinating the BTL and ATL campaigns
- Managing the Advertising and Promotions budget and administer
the production of marketing collaterals.


Preferably extensive experience in multinational PR/Advertising agency
PR experience mandatory

Job Summary :

This is a strategic role within the Product Department for a motivated and ambitious Senior Product Manager. Main responsibilities will consist in setting the strategy and direction for the overall VAS portfolio, managing the entire life cycle (concept to launch) and delivery of products to prepaid and post paid customers. Depending on the level and qualifications of the candidate, responsibilities may also include business development responsibilities as well as other strategic initiatives within the Product Department.

The products and applications being delivered are being rolled out throughout Afghanistan. The person would either currently be in a Product Manager role and looking to move to a higher Managerial position, with previous experience in setting the direction and priorities for a VAS portfolio as well as managing strategic relationship with vendors. Ability to obtain internal buy-in of critical stakeholders (IT, network…) is an asset. The person should be a highly professional individual, a good communicator, capable of managing a team while having an eye for detail, be confident, ambitious and understand strategic stakes in product development life cycle phasing concepts with specific application to VAS. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Strategy for VAS portfolio
2. Business Case and forecasting of Product revenues

7. Direction of cross functional teams and process documentation
8. Management of VAS team members

Education and Experience Required:

A minimum of 4-5 years experience in VAS product development/ management and extensive experience of innovative VAS products (RBT…) is required. Experience in setting the direction for a portfolio from strategic as well as tactical perspective is also essential. Previous experience working in a GSM company is an asset.

Expected level of education:

· Masters in Marketing or equivalent business experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Overseeing Financial Reporting function and performing high-level analyses
to support business decisions
* Budget to actual variance analysis
* Ensure accurate mapping of budget to ERP system
* Perform variance analysis and accounts analysis
* Assist monthly/yearly close process
* Ad hoc projects to improve the efficiencies of the financial reporting process
* Automation of re-occurring reports
* Responsible for ensuring various reports for external stakeholders,
government agencies and shareholders are completed in a timely and
accurate manner.
* Ensure accurate tracking and reconciliation of capital expenditures
(commitment reporting)
* Ensure FAR is maintained and processes are continuously improved related
to Fixed Asset tracking.
* Establishing and training Financial Reporting team
* Ensure that new candidates possess required level of accounting
and Excel expertise
* Ensure that tight reporting deadlines are managed accordingly
* Train and coach new and existing staff in requirements of reports with an
eye toward management's data needs
* Conduct detailed review of reports assembled by team members to ensure
that reports distributed to budget holders, executive management and
board members are accurate
* Share knowledge with staff to update key areas requiring attention
* Hold regular staff meetings to increase communication between team members
* Put procedures in place which provide for standardization of report writing
and therefore greater departmental efficiencies
