EXTERNAL RELATION/ COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SUPERVISOR (Location: Gresik, East Java)

Summary of Position:

Assist Leadership and Technical Support in disseminating information about the company’s operations and activities to local stakeholders, advise on appropriate strategies consistent with the Company’s operational response to ensure minimum risk and to ensure freedom of operation for the business operations.

Principal Duties & responsibilities:

1. Communicate Hess’ business and activities to local stakeholders
* Establish, maintain & improve Hess relationships with local
stakeholders including organizing corporate external events
* Coordinate with CD/CR Supervisor and EHS manager in the development
and implementation of Community Development activities at Ujung Pangkah
Field to adhere Hess CD/CR policy and approved project.
* Coordinate with General Affair Supervisor and Security Officer to
establish, maintain and improve Hess relationships and cooperation with
Local Community and Security Apparatus (Police, Sea Police, Military, etc.)
* Synchronize community relation, community development and security
activities to ensure focus support for the OPF and Project Development
2. Provide Hess management and Gresik Leadership Team with up to date information
on social and political conditions in the project areas and recommended
approaches or solutions.
3. Manage respective organization and Human Resources: build an organization and
team that is capable of dealing with the future, create a
collaborative environment that inspires innovation
4. Managing EHS responsibility in the respective department
* Comply with Operating Principals, EHS requirements and initiatives, and
all procedure requirements and demonstrate appropriate safety behaviours
and commitment to environmental policies and emergency response duties
as required

Requirements:

1. University degree major in Economic, Social science, Engineering, with 10
year experience in external relation/ community development both on field
and Government level, minimum 5 years in supervisory level.
2. Knowledge and skill in Community Development, Conflict Resolution technique
& method, and Government/External/ Public relation
3. Understanding in Government related institutions (Dept of Manpower, BP
Migas, Migas, Local Gov Official)
4. Presentation and negotiation skill
5. Understanding in related government regulation and legal aspect
6. Computer: Word, Excel, Power Point, internet, SAP
7. Fluent spoken and written English, local language (Javanese is preferable)
