Currently, I'm using a desktop PC as all-in-one tools to write an article, programming, build a website, fulfill my entertainment needs, etc. One of the major problems for desktop PC is I can't take wherever I want, although I already connected to wireless connection in my house, I still have a cable problem if I want to move for example from my room to TV room.

Reason I'm Blogging?

Nowadays, there are many people start create a blog, each of them have their own reason why they blogging. From many references I read, the majority of them start blogging because they want to make money online, some others said blogging is an alternatives of learning. If you ask me why I create blog? Here is some of my reason:

Since I'm an online entrepreneurs, create blog is one of the best way to tell other people about my products. What I need to do is writing some product reviews with picture (if any) and then share it to other people who already become my subscribers.
Another reason why I start blogging is I want to make money online. There are many ways to make money online, one of them is by create a blog and start monetize your blog by adding some ads space, etc.
I have a Linux related blog. This blog is my "tools" to learn and share anything about Linux and Open Source World.
Blog also become my "tools" to communicate to some other family which now live in other countries. Oftenly, we exchange pictures, videos and sometimes share about interesting experience we had.
And the last reason, blogging is a good investment for me. Some of you might heard about "personal branding"? Yes, blogs can be a good media to support our personal branding effort. This is not easy and definitely not a short term goals. But I'm sure, with internet - which every people in this world can communicate each other - and blog, I can achieve my personal branding goal faster.

Last year, on Nov 2007, I graduate from my study. Right now I have a bachelor degree in Business and Management. Not a super student but I quite happy with my graduation cause right now some of my friends hasn't finish their study yet.

After this stage, some of my friends ask whether I will continue my study to the next higher level? For now, I don't have that plan, cause I still focus on my business. Jewelry itself can be broke down to three stuffs which we can wear it for daily use, it can be a watch, jewelry or diamonds.

My Most Wanted Gadget in 2008

Hello all my readers, do you have a plan to buy new gadget in 2008? Some of you might answering yes. It is very natural because almost every person loves gadgets. Whether its cellular phones, game console, mp3 player, blu-ray player or maybe brand new HDTV to replace your conventional CRT TV. Before you tell me what is your most wanted gadget this years, I will start from myself. This years, I already prepare to buy two brand new gadget. It is, PDA / smart phones to replace my old cellular phone right now and the second one is HDTV. Actually, I have one more gadget want to buy, that is Nintendo Wii, but its for my sons.

For PDA, I prefer choosing no-touch-screen techno, since to me, touch screen is not comfortable. Second, the keyboard must be qwerty, since one of my daily routine jobs was writing and updating my websites. The third requirements is it must be cheap enough in order to meet my limited budget. There are already several candidates, but I will not discuss in this article, maybe in the next article I will inform you.

HDTV, this is not-cheap-gadget, but really I need it. I have 2 TV right now, and they all broken. I will replace with brand new HDTV. Since HDTV categorized as non-cheap-gadget to me, I have to smart enough to choose which store offered best prices. Open Mind, Open Source. I'm the one who loves open source software (OSS) very much. Counted since 2000 til now, 2008, its almost 8 years. For the first time, I'm using Linux for personal needs, its a second operating system embedded in my PC. In 2004, I try using Linux as part of my business until now, Can be said that now, Linux is the one and only operating system in my PC. One of the greatest products came with open source license is Linux, founded by Linus Torvalds, this operating system, slowly but sure, have increased their users. Why? Cause it's cheap (free). Open source license can be defined as a license which you can use, develop or redistribute for FREE. Yes, it's free.

Some of you may be ask me, why some of Linux distribution not free? We have to pay to get them? Here I tell you, that what they sell is not Linux code but they sell support service, update, etc, the Linux code is still open source licensed. Good example of this is Red Hat Company.

If you run a business, and Information Technology is one of your concern, I suggest you use Open Source Software, truly this can reduce your IT budget a lot! You can replace your desktop operating system with Linux operating system, you can replace your Windows Server with Linux Server, you can replace your Exchange Server using Linux Email Server, and still many more you can replace with open source software. The largest obstacles mainly is in switching or migration process. For example, is there any Exchange alternative which is fully compatible previous email server software we use? Is this Linux Exchange can be counted as Exchange Replacement? I tell you now, that Linux and open source community now has grown very quick, what they have done now might is out of your prediction! I'm sure that Open Source Software will dominate our software in 10-15 years ahead!

I have a friends which is now studying in Groningen University, Holland. He said that a lot of his friends spending their spare time to get holidays in Spain. From Bremen, they start the journey to Barcelona by plane. It's quite close between Holland and Spain. In the future, if I have enough time and money of course :) Spain would be one of my list for vacation. Hope before 2010 I can go there. Sure I'm not visiting all cities in Spain, there are several cities which is attract me, that is Seville, Granada and Malaga.
